BUSARI OLAYEMI AND THE FIVE MILLION NAIRA BRIBE. Silence means guilt...EYV

Olayemi and the five million naira bribe: Silence means guilt.

We received the above news with Shock and disbelieve. We felt the personalities indicted in the issue will come out and clear the air.

We also chose to make our own findings by speaking with  some people in Ona Ara local government.

They all confirmed the allegations made by the Concerned Ona Ara PDP Members.

According to them Olayemi Busari and his co-travellers should respond if they have any defence.

To date, none of the alleged “leaders” has deemed it fit to as much as say a single word.

This to us looks like guilt.

What bothers us most in this case is that a man who can collude to commit such a dastardly act in Ona Ara, another local government, want to take up the position of leadership in Egbeda Local Government.

Egbeda Youth Vanguard feels ashamed that such a person comes from our own Local Government.

We are therefore giving Hon Olayemi to live up to the title “Honorable” and come out with a defence or we will join our brothers in Ona Ara to make known to public other misdemeanors we know he has been involved in.

We are involved because Ona Ara falls in the same Federal Constituency with us and which Busari flew the flag of the party unsuccessfully in the 2023 elections.

The story of the reason for Olayemi’s abysmal performance in the election is a story for another day.

ONIDO: THE MANY ATROCITIES OF MURITALA GBOLAGADE BABALOLA Muritala Gbolagade first came to Ido as a worker in the farm of a prominent Ibadan Chief located in Ido local government. He was fortunate to have made money while working for the Chief. How he made so much money from his employer is debatable and shrouded in mystery. After leaving the farm he showed interest in investing in Ido. He built a house in Ilaju where he resides till date. Always with an eye for investors to help develop Ido, the then Onido, Benjamin Ishola Orobiyi II gave Gbolagade a chieftaincy title of Ashipa of Ido. Little did the Orobiyi know that he was giving honour to a criminal. Gbolagade, through bribery and subterfuge plotted to get to the throne of his benefactor. His intentions were not noble. His plan was to use the position to enhance his various nefarious activities. Before he was suspended on 2 nd February 2024, he was noted for many criminal activities, chief among which were: ...

ONIDO: DEVELOPMENT OF IDO, PAST AND PRESENT CONTRIBUTIONS

ONIDO:   DEVELOPMENT OF IDO, PAST AND PRESENT CONTRIBUTIONS Ido was founded by Agura, who was in the group that left Ile Ife with Oranmiyan to establish Old Oyo. On getting to the location in the forest, after consulting his Ifa priest he named the place Ido. Ido is today the headquarters of Ido Local Government. Ido is quite developed and still developing. Ido houses many government facilities and non-governmental development projects. New businesses, housing estates, medical facilities and schools dot the town. This has been made possible by contributions and sacrifices of past monarchs and royal families in Ido. When the Ibadan West District Council was established 5 th August 1961, with Ido as the headquarters the reigning Onido, Pa Yesufu Ladapo Orobiyi gave his farm land to the council freely. This selfless act   made it possible for the new council to settle down in Ido. The Local Government today stands on the Orobiyi Family land. Pa Lawani Dare O...
