BIRTHDAY: AKK DISTRIBUTES EDUCATION MATERIALS TO ALMA MATER (Videos and Pictures)


Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK) celebrated his birthday on Tuesday 22nd October 2024.

Not new to philanthropy, part of the activities lined up for the day was the distribution of Exercise books to pupils of Abiola James Primary School, Oke Foko in Ibadan and Urban Day Grammar School, Old Ife road, also in Ibadan.

While at Abiola James Primary School Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem had started exhibiting high intelligence and leadership qualities at an early age. He was time keeper from primary 3 to 5. In Primary 6 he was the health prefect.

The distribution was done by his support team led by Ademola Adeeyo (Alarjinle).

At both schools, staff and students expressed gratitude to Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem for the kind gesture. A teacher at Urban Day Grammar School said Government alone can not bear the burden of Education but with people like Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem and other alumni like him the burden is made lighter.

A student in the same school said the gift came at a time most students are feeling the economic crunch and could not afford even exercise books.

A visitor who witnessed the distribution at opined that if everybody developed the heart of giving back to society, life will be better for all.

Pupils of both schools sang Happy Birthday songs for the celebrant.

  ONIDO:   DEVELOPMENT OF IDO, PAST AND PRESENT CONTRIBUTIONS Ido was founded by Agura, who was in the group that left Ile Ife with Oranmiyan to establish Old Oyo. On getting to the location in the forest, after consulting his Ifa priest he named the place Ido. Ido is today the headquarters of Ido Local Government. Ido is quite developed and still developing. Ido houses many government facilities and non-governmental development projects. New businesses, housing estates, medical facilities and schools dot the town.
